17" OEM Wheel weights
Quote from Tim Gilbert on October 22, 2023, 4:31 pmI'm currently looking to buy a ZC32S that fits my criteria (5 dr, low mileage, good history) and my wife's criteria (blue). I've seen one for sale that has the ZC33S wheels fitted. I don't mind the look either way, but I was wondering if there is much of a weight difference, as I believe that these cars are sensitive to any increase in unsprung weight.
From my research ZC32S rims are 8.2 kg and the wheels are 15.4 kg with 195/45R17 tyres fitted https://www.sssoc.co.uk/forum/topic/weight-of-stock-17-rim/?part=2
and ZC33S wheels are 16.6 kg with 195 tyres https://www.facebook.com/ctcperformance/posts/so-thats-the-new-wheels-and-tyres-ready-to-install-weigh-total-tyre-and-wheel-is/1037798456409732/
So if these sources are accurate, this gives a 1.2 kg increase per corner for the newer wheels, this seems like quite a big difference, probably enough to be noticeable, especially if I end up fitting bigger 205 width tyres.
Does anyone have any rims lying around that they could quickly weigh to confirm the numbers above? Or any comments on wheel weights?

Quote from Luke Chapman on June 4, 2024, 8:10 pmFirst post, hola everyone, figured I’d pop in here to ask the question!
I’m looking at some lightweight wheels to chuck the car onto track.
Team Dynamics prorace LT are looking the likely ones! They’ll sit 1.3mm closer, which doesn’t seem too much of a problem, but I notice the front breaks REALLY sit in the wheels!
Does anyone have experience with these? Or know if this will clash and cause a problem?
FYI - standards on zc32 is 17” x 6.5j ET50
The team dynamics are 17” x 7j ET45
