2025 Swift Sport?
Quote from DazzaSport on May 28, 2024, 2:45 pmNothing confirmed as yet - but, it seems as if at least two video reviews of the new Swift suggest that the next Swift Sport is unlikely to come to the UK.
This will be a sad day if true. I'm considering the 2025 Swift Sport as a possible replacement for my ZC33S. But, if it doesn't come to the UK - then there is not much hope of that happening. Affordable and FRUGAL performance cars are being killed off - and yet overweight gas-guzzling SUV's continue to be sold in great numbers. Where's the logic in that?
I'm hoping that Suzuki doesn't give up on the UK market. I've bought two Swift Sports from new and they have both been the most satisfying fun cars to drive that I have ever owned. I wanted to buy a 3rd Swift Sport - but maybe the ZC33S will be my last.
Hoping it's not true.

Quote from Yee on May 31, 2024, 5:50 pmOh, that’s a shame, I didn’t know that. Mind you, I must admit, I don’t like the look of the new Swift anyway. They’ve made it uglier in my opinion, but then again, that is the standard model.
You’re right though, small performance cars are becoming a dying breed now. You only have to look at the Hyundai i20N, that was only on sale in UK for 3 years! Plus the Ford Fiesta ST was recently culled last year as well.
There’s just very little profit in manufacturers selling small cars.

Quote from DazzaSport on July 2, 2024, 2:51 pmWell, it was fun while it lasted.
Suzuki UK have confirmed that the Swift Sport is dead.
There's literally got to be zero small hot hatches available on the UK market now (apart from remaining stock or used examples). How depressingly boring.
Thanks Suzuki - for letting down the Swift Sport enthusiasts.
