I’m unsure if anybody have tried this already but i certainly did! This was the cheapest RGB fiber-optic like ambient lighting kit i could get my hands on. I think it turned out fine. Installed it without doing any drilling to the car so i can revert back anytime without no trouble. Powered it by piggy back fuse. There is some reflection to the windshield and side window but its not distracting. It does have some hotspots which i don’t really like so maybe i get the LED version later and ditch the fiber one im currently using. Here are the results;

I agree, pretty cool. I'm surprised it wasn't LED fiber optic since they are also pretty cheap from China. Did you only do the front dash?

Well it was my first time modding a car so i wanted to keep it simple and did the dashboard only. The LED Acrylic setup is a bit pricey compared to this setup, about 3-4 times the money maybe so i ignored the expensive one. Now that i played a bit with the car, removing door panels and gaining some confidence, i might do a whole ambient lighting in the future, with the LED Acrylic kit. If i do i will definitely post it here.

Hello everyone, I’m back at it again, as i said previously i actually got the LED kit and installed it in my car. This one looks so good and so far i am enjoying it. Installation wasn’t the easiest as it was my first time but also I am a complete novice. Basically this kit has a master and slave modules. Installed the master near the fusebox and slave modules to doors for each. I used 3 total and kit come with 5. Used strip for dash, two for doors, also two footwell lights and two door handle lights. There was more to use but i think this was more than enough, i also kept the dashboard light short and simple, because my previous one was little distracting and also had glare issue to windshield, which now i dont have. Anyways results are here, and I am up for any questions.

Hey man sorry if this is considered necroposting but I have a question because I want to do this myself. How did you piggyback power from the doors? Because I want to do it myself and I am not sure which wires to use to piggyback for the lighting

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I used single piggyback fuse, that is from cigarette lighter. It only turns on when theres ignition power so it works good. For the doors, i just routed the cables towards the doors, from the wire loom. My kit had master and slave rgb controller units, so i put one slaves for the doors inside, then got the power from the cables i routed. My kit came with the power cables and i just used some extra cables, soldered them and made them longer.

I don’t really have more photos but if you want me to help, i am up for it.
