Fast Road Spec'd 32

Hi guys, I'm currently in the process of building a fast road spec ZC32S daily. So far there isn't much to show, but I'm going to be taking inspiration from the Golf GTI Clubsport S, so bucket seats at the front, no rear seats, possibly 4 or 5 point roll cage, slightly more aggressive styling and more power. There's a lot on my bucket list, but cut short aiming for around 160/170bhp keeping it N/A, with GReddy front splitter and rear spoiler. AP Racing coilovers will be on soon! Any questions/ideas or anything I'm happy to help!

Hi Aidan - lightweight seats are a good move. You can sit much lower and they save plenty of kgs 🙂 I also have a lightweight lithium battery and super light Oz rims, which save yet more weight (another 15kgs). Tuning to get more NA power is trickier and costly. I currently run a good intake (CTC),
R's downpipe, R's exhaust and Monster cams. That's making me around 155bhp - although gobs more torque between 4 and 7k rpm. With a trick manifold, I[d be into the low 160s but it's more £££s. I will say though that with the mods I've done and weight reduction,the car feels genuinely quick when you grab it by the scruff!

Not thought about a lithium battery! What's the Monster cams like? Been looking at new cams for mine but a bit unsure if I'd lose power at the bottom end. I'd be happy if I got 160 brake out of mine, but if not then it's probably going to have to be a K20 or 2ZZGE swap!? Absolutely love the car to bits but sometimes feel like it's lacking in power a bit and that the weight of the car is its biggest advantage. Bet yours sounds awesome with what you've done to it!

The cams are quite mild Aiden. But the torque curve from 4K to 7K rpm is much better. Peak power now at 7k rpm, whereas before (with intake, exhaust and CTC remap, peak power was nearer to 6K (see the graph - green curve is Monster cams in but unmapped). It does sound good on full chat. I will post a video up once the weather improves ?

Cheers guys! Cusco gear knob from Nengun Performance with a BRIDE gaitor I got from a car show and modified it to fit over the Lift-to-Reverse mechanism. There's been a lot of new modifications since creating this post! (Sorry I forgot to update the post). Since then I've fitted: AP Coilovers, custom cat-back exhaust system with Akraprovic tips, CTC Performance intake kit, CTC grooved brake discs, Ferrodo DS2500 pads, HEL braided brake lines, CTC rear camber shims, upgraded speakers, LED side indicators, LED rear light clusters, CTC Performance carbon fibre spoiler extension and probably more? here's a few more recent photos!

Really great mods.
What is the exhaust spec please I may go custom... Thinking 2.25 inch diameter cat back with no resonator and the biggest backbox I can get.

Cheers guys? I believe mine is 2.25 inch. I have the centre resonator but no back box. From what I've been told they don't sound too good with the centre resonator removed but I suppose that's down to personal opinion
