Fuel type

I just bought a swift sport hybrid and I'm wandering which type of fuel is recommended. I live in Italy and the first fill up I did with regular. Since the high compression ratio + turbo, is it bad to use regular? What octane is the best?

Hi. When I looked into this a while back, the general consensus was regular E10 is fine but lower or no ethanol is better and some say the engine feels more alive with it.
As regards octaine, Suzuki say 93 which is typically the E10 you get in the uk.

Standard, use just normal E10... if the cars mapped, use E5 99 RON. You get more power and more MPG

You can run a mapped car on e10, obviously you don't get the full benefit of the map. I run mine mostly on e10 and use e5 for my trackdays or if I know I'm off for a bit of fun somewhere.
Though not relevant to the OP, some people say tesco super unleaded is as good if not better the shell v power.
