Idle Vibration

Hi all,

Just wondering has anyone else experienced excessive vibration at idle?

2012 Swift Sport with 75k miles.

I've tried cleaning the air intake valve & the MAF sensor but no luck. Spark plugs were changed around 12 months ago (6k miles) for Denso Iridium.

Car idles around 550-600rpm. I have heard Suzuki didn't want to introduce stop start so they just dropped the idle speed, although I am not sure how true this is.

I have a HKS CAI fitted, although the vibration was present before this was fitted and has since gotten worse.

Thanks for any help

Sounds like a knackered engine mount. More than likely the rear one that connects the gearbox to the front subframe/chassis. Pop the bonnet and have someone rev the engine and watch for excessive movement ?

Cheers for the reply mate, I forgot to mention I asked a mechanic a while back about the mounts and he mentioned they were fine. Had another check, doesnt seem to be excessive play. When I knock the Air con on and the revs idle around ~700 RPM the vibration decreases, but is still present.

I also never mentioned it's not a consistant vibration. Comes and goes every few seconds.

Thanks

Hi, I’ve noticed this on my car aswell , I had a look at the engine mounts and am I no way qualified but they seemed sturdy.Like you say it comes and goes so I’m not to sure.

I am currently having the same problem with my swift, did anyone figure this out?
Spark plugs and air filter changed.
Serviced in September 3k miles ago by Suzuki.
I have checked mounts and hoses,
I have also put redex cleaner through the fuel.

The car is a 2015 with 26k miles

I have the same issue after driving and once at temp.
Vibration noise every few seconds, the only thing i can pin point is that the engine is vibrating directly on the bonnet

It might be that your cars previous owners have fitted a 'solid' rear engine mount? It is a popular upgrage (I have one on mine) and this does transmit more vibration through the car, especially at idle... just a though.

Did anybody found out what was the issue?
As i have a same and i can't find whats wrong

Sziasztok. Esetleg talált már valaki megoldást az alapjárat problémára?
