Induction kit

Hi guys, looking at getting a simota or maybe even a ctc induction kit for my car, and was going to attempt to fit it myself. Is there anything I need to take off the the stock air filter to put on the new one or is just a matter of removing old and replacing with aftermarket one?
Cheers for your help

I had a simota, really simple, just undo a few screws, remove old filter box, unplug MAF sensor, fix on new filter and plug the MAF sensor into new filter, regards Mike

Really late to the conversation, but thought I'd put in my two cents.

Ctc intake is cheaper than most and proven to function without any engine management lights. Ctc is quality for money. That is where I'll be going

suppose you have one by now i got simota air box seems fine
