Monster Sport Performance Dampers
Quote from Reza Ekarantio on June 25, 2022, 10:04 amHas anyone tried this or come across anyone that has one?

Supposedly already been used in high end Lexus car.
Its an interesting concept but the price is a little bit on the high side.
I feel our car's chassis is quite solid, I wonder if this body dampers will bring more benefit compare to good old solid chassis braces.

Quote from Moyz on June 26, 2022, 12:02 amYeah, I have to 20mm version. Only other chassis mods are the H&R 30mm lowering springs. It handles like its on rails ? Slighty biased towards oversteer when pushing hard but its predictable and controllable. Its a great seatup ?

Quote from xu5 on July 1, 2022, 6:45 amThat is quite an intriguing product, does seem pretty expensive approx £550-600 plus import?. I am pretty interested chassis bracing on road cars and so far have a C pillar brace, TRD door stabilisers on all 4 doors and Cusco front tower brace fitted. My car is standard suspension with 16mm RARB but will prob get Eibach springs and B6/B8 dampers when they are released.
With the C pillar brace fitted first the rear of the car absorbed bumps and sharp shocks much better. You could tell the suspension at the back was able to work better to the point that it actually made the car adopt a very slight understeer feel. Not that the front had lost grip just the back had gained some control.
Next fitted was the door stabilisers. These made a surprising difference. The whole car felt better dampened like having better quality shock absorbers without actually being any firmer. The car also regained its neutral balance.
I found the Cusco front upper strut bar made little difference TBH. Perhaps the c pillar brace and door stabilisers had done most of the work already. The design of the Cusco front strut brace does not look ideal though, not one solid piece and not in line with the strut tops.
Whether the Monster dampers would have done the same or a better job I don't know I am afraid.
I also have a front subframe "H" brace, lower control arm brace, lower mid brace and rear lower tie bar waiting to be fitted when I get a chance.
As far as chassis bracing is concerned I think it is worth it in that you are giving your cars suspension the best opportunity to work as it should. The ZC33S may have a fairly stiff chassis but it can definitely be improved. A concern of mine was fitting firmer suspension often turns a car into a crashy mess on imperfect roads if I am brutally honest in my past experience as the structure of the car cant control it. Hopefully when I go for eibach/bilstein it will be just lovely all round!

Quote from Reza Ekarantio on July 1, 2022, 10:46 amIt appears one of my reply was not posted. What i was trying to post is I found a video on youtube from a lexus RC owner (not sure if its the F model) that fitted one of this, he stated that he felt the road less after installing them, apparently it make him nervous driving in the highway due to lack of feel. Having said that, this damper is also apparently an OEM on a Z car ?.
That door stabilisers also piqued my interest, i thought it was a bit of snake oil but good to hear it made a difference in our car. Might get those soon.
I've ordered Hardrace RARB, keen to feel the difference after putting this on.
