New clutch bedding in zc31s
Quote from Arnaldo De Leon on November 27, 2022, 3:55 amHi,
Got a new clutch kit for my zc31s.
Shifts fine when engine is cold, when it gets warm though it gets really hard to shift even after 1000kms.Mechanic advised to add another 1000s to see if it improves as zc31s clutches are not adjustable and should self adjust after the bedding in period.
Any other opinions? It almost feels like the shifter is breaking getting into a gear.
Cheers.

Quote from Moyz on December 1, 2022, 5:23 pmI'd try bleeding the slave cylinder... sounds like trapped air in the line somewhere. When its cold the fluid will be thicker and compress less with each pedal stroke... when its warmed up, the fuid expands and needs more travel to actuate the release bearing, you combine that with any air bubbles which will expand when its warm the clutch may not fully disengage and will be hard to get into gear.
I had this with my Accord after a clutch... the garage used piss fluid and didnt bleed the line/cylinder properly. I actually had to wedge the slave cylinder back and bleed it like that to get all the air out of it (it was a new slave though)
Try the easy and cheap fixes first. If its not sorted after rebleeding, it might need the gearbox off again ?
