P0420 - Cat failure?

Anyone dealt with this code on a ZC31?

O2 sensors look to be working and reading normally via diagnostics.
However if i reset the code it returns in about 300miles.

Anyone had to replace a failed cat?

Check the downpipe isnt blowing anywhere... I had that (on another car mind you) and it was causing all kinds of faults to do with cat failure and o2 sensor faults. Air gets drawn into the pipe and the secondary o2 sensor see's this higher o2 and shits the bed. Just something to check ?
