Potential New Owner

Hi, I'm thinking very seriously about a Z33S as my next daily. Been on the lookout for a buyer's guide but there seems to be little out there, hopefully this is a good sign that there are not many common issues to worry about - right?

I am not a huge fan of the OEM wheels (sorry, hopefully I've not offended everyone with my first post!) and have always wanted to run a nice set of Rays (maybe TE37s) on something - would I get away with 17x7.5 ET48 215/45/17 without fouling the arches or brakes?

Last but not least, where should I be shopping for either complete bodykits or perhaps bits and pieces I can mix and match to my tastes? I don't want anything too crazy, but I don't mind a bit of rice in my build.

As a noob I thought I'd post some pics for attention from my car history. Started off with a 350z which was lightly modified, then moved to a BRZ, the last few years I have had a 981 Cayman which went to it's new owner last weekend and my guilty pleasure is my MX5 track toy, which looks pretty stock but has Ohlins coilovers and quite a bit of under body bracing to stiffen things up on track. Eagle eyed readers will realise this would be my first foray away from naturally aspirated, RWD, coupes - I want to find out what this hot hatch boost life is all about 🙂

Hi Stu,
If you do get one I'd go pre hybrid, unless you need the battery side of it, more POWER....
Had mine 2 years now and it's withstood a lot of abuse, not least Bedford autodrome the other day, and no issues. Easy to service yourself if you want and fun to mess around with mods.
On the wheel front I'm with you. I bought a second hand set from the previous sport and it looks better, though a set of Rays would be nice.
Hope you find one, it's surprisingly good fun car.

Thanks, I hadn’t considered the hybrid, not sure the weight/complexity is really worth any benefits for my usage. I’m excited to test drive one, already fell in love with the looks and the Japanese small car vibe. Good to hear they can take a bit of B road stick and not come to bits.
