rough idling after replacement engine

Hi i hope someone can shed some light on an issue i have after installing a new M16a sport engine after the one i had in the car after purchase from Copart spun a bearing, So i have a 2008 swift sport and managed to get a 2010 sport M16A engine, it came bare except for the oil cooler and the inlet manifold, i removed the old engine and swapped all ancillaries over and reinstalled replacement engine( after 3 months ) i clean the throttle butterfly and housing and moved the butterfly in hand to clean, all gaskets looked good as did all the hoses, new oil and filter and coolant replaced.
The problem is it starts up and revs to about 1500 -2000rpm and then goes down to 500 rpm very rough and will stall if i press the throttle pedal there is a slight delay but will rev for 3 secs then back down to 500 rpm, i have checked crank sensor cam sensor, air pressure sensor and all working, i have scanned the car using an xtool d8bt and mac tools diag machine and have no codes, i can't hear any suction noises, ive sprayed carb cleaner around injectors to see if they were not seated correctly and no increase in rpm, cleaned the air flow sensor as well, I have tried to do the throttle reset but cant get it to enter the programming phase (flashing engine mgt light) just stay solid lit, ANY HELP please as I have a mot booked for this Friday, Thanks in advance ...

Steve

Could be a knackered idle control valve ? But I'm not 100% your year of Swift even has one ?

I did find pic related on another forum...
