Swapping gear stick gaiter ?
Quote from Uruk Hai on December 30, 2018, 7:29 amI thought I would get the ball rolling in this section !
I noticed a few weeks back that my gear stick gaiter has a split in it so thought about changing it but I don't know how to remove the gear knob or the gaiter from the trim that covers it all ?
Any help much appreciated. ?

If not its really simple to remove all of said above. The trim around the gater just grab it at the back of 4th and pull up (just held by clips) once that's up you unscrew the gear knob and pull the gater up.
I will add pictures later for others to see

Quote from Aiden Dent on February 12, 2019, 10:07 amAs mentioned above really. The trim around the cater just unclips off by pulling on the circled bit. The gear knob will just unscrew and the gator has a plastic ring around it if I remember right just to keep its shape. I know it's been a while since you posted but hope this helps if you haven't already sorted it!

I take it the gear knob just unscrews anti clockwise?

Quote from ChEd1980 on May 9, 2019, 9:49 amI need to change my gaiter at some point as I noticed that it has worn through on one side where it has got caught between the stick itself and the trim in the car.
Nice to know that its not going to require half the dash to come out which is what I thought might need to be done!
