Up-rated clutch choices

Hello.

I am looking for a new clutch and want to canvas options from those who have gone away from standard.

We use the car for club motorsport events as well as being a daily drive.
Hence looking for a medium option that can cope with multiple standing starts.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.

I have a Xtreme stage 1 clutch in my sport. It feels like a stock clutch but can take more power.

Also went for a lightweight flywheel at the same time while the gearbox was of anyway. Makes the engine mutch more rev happy.

Never got a lsd which a was planning to do but after finishing the suspension set up i don't think i need one any more. That was the reason to go aftermarket for a clutch for me.

How does it feel with a lightened flywheel? I've always fancied one in one of my cars. I was meant to have one fitted to my Accord but, silly me...I actually forgot all about the flywheel when I got the clutch done ? It was a couple of days after I had the clutch done (I smashed it doing a HARD 2nd to 3rd at 8 and a half ☺) when I realised...alot of swearing ensued ?

It really wakes up the engine. The throttle response is so much nicer and it goes through the revs faster.

I have a monster sport flywheel it weighs 4.7 kg stock one weighs 7.3kg. There are lighter ones out there but you can go too light and make the car too nervous.

We do lots of options for this car inc Exedy, Xtreme and Cusco plus MTX and light weight flywheel. Drop us a email

I got around to changing the clutch yesterday and was rather surprised at what I found.

An Exedy clutch 57K00 / 6E19A. Getting rather worn now, however it worked fine for quite a number of full bore starts.

The clutch actuator fork looked to be in good condition although the bearing was quite noisy on spin.

New stage 1 Exedy installed.
