Quote from CTC Performance on January 8, 2023, 7:25 amSold the car, new owner said it was running rich way too much fuel and so I paid for mapping at location of their choice. 2 days later claimed something fell off the gear linkage and they miss shifted. Tried to back the car as claimed preexisting conditions. Part claimed to have fallen off kept changing when I demonstrated the part claimed to have fallen off and lost was still the part the car left with. Took legal advice, legal bill to fight would likely have cost more than I sold the car for so I reluctantly refunded. Broke the car to recover some money. When taking engine apart the claimed over rev was not what killed the engine, there was significant signs of detonation. Looking at the new maps it looked like way too much timing and no where near as much fuel as it would need hence the melted pistons… so the engine is currently sat in a pile at the back of my garage waiting to be taken to scrap. 95% of the parts are now sold, chassis scrapped etc. I kept the skyline wheels and big brake kit. Those are going onto my 33S.
