Wheel Fitment
Quote from xu5 on June 14, 2021, 9:33 pmGot my 16x7 et45 Advanracing RZ's fitted with Dunlop sport bluresponse 195/50. I also ditched the tpms valves and got an Irongates tpms simulator which sits in the boot.
This all adds up to a weight saving of 3.5kg per corner of rotating mass. The weight saving is definitely noticeable with less resistance to change in direction, smoother and less crashy ride and a general feeling of heightened responsiveness to throttle input and steering.
I know some will be aghast at the sight of "small wheels" on stock ride height but personally i quite like the look. It reminds me of excellently riding old school hatches like the 106 rallye. It looks like a car that will handle a broken road surface with ease.

Uploaded files:Quote from Gary Chapman on June 30, 2022, 8:45 pmHelp me out please. So looking for new wheels but lost with the whole et requirement. Want to keep to 17x7.5, though would consider 16s like Xu5, but looking around there's mixed ets on the ads.
Would the 16" give me better selection of tyres? Or when I get some new wheels,17", get 205 tyres fitted?
Thanks

Quote from Reza Ekarantio on July 1, 2022, 12:25 amDepends on the objective, is it purely for aesthetic or performance? From what I can gather on the internet, our car will accommodate offset (ET) as low as 38 with no significant rubbing, but stick to 42-45 to be on the safe side. Increasing the tyre size to 205 will certainly look better aesthetically but they are heavier.

Quote from Gary Chapman on July 10, 2022, 1:20 pmSo I'm trying to narrow down what wheels to buy but want to visualise before hitting the button. As I'm IT inept can people help me. I have a '19reg in red and can't decide if I go Bronze/gold or gunmetal/anthracite in colour. Is anybody able to do photoshop, or similar, or is there a alloy wheel website I've missed that can do this.
Thanks
